Can you hold a bed for a patient who must leave the facility for a hospital stay?
Yes. For our Medicare residents, Heritage Home can hold a bed for up to 10 days per year while a patient is in the hospital and up to 18 days per year (limited to nine consecutive days at one time) for therapeutic leave. These residents must comply with all Medicaid eligibility regulations. Private-pay residents are required to pay the private-pay rate for each day a room is held.
Please consult with the site administrator for additional information about the Heritage Home bed hold policy.
